How do you remove alot of roots?help please?
Question:i just cut down a lot of over grown vines in my back yard 100 foot wide and 10 feet deep area.the roots are sticking out of the ground 2 or 3 foot and it is so thick i can't mow my back yard.i need a root rake but i cant buy one right now.is there any thing i can pull behind my 4x4 truck to up root and pull all the vine roots out of my yard.like a rail road tie and chainlink fence i tryed this but it did not work.will a box blade pull out all the roots?i need some thing that i can pull behind my truck that will pull all the rooots out of the ground. any ideas will help.

WE HAVE REMOVED ROOTS BY WRAPPING A ROPE AROUND THEM AND THEN TIEING IT TO THE BACK OF A TRUCK. HOWEVER, YOU MAY NEED TO INVEST IN RENTING/BORROWING A PROFESSIONAL TILLER. ESPECIALLY SINCE IT SEEMS THERE ARE QUITE A FEW. GO OVER IT WITH A TILLER 3-4 TIMES AND YOUR SOIL WILL BE GOOD FOR PLANTING.
Spray with Triox to kill the vines but grass won't grow till next year.
You know how roots are & how bad they can get! Yucko!! I think you could be fighting those pesky things for a long time if you don't do something to kill them for good. Why don't you just have a professional come in & get rid of them for you instead of doing all this hard work & then turn around & those roots be back in your life! I would totally start over in that yard & once someone came in & killed the roots then I would start on creating that beautiful yard that you have been dreaming of. I'm sorry that I don't have any home remedy solutions for you but MAYBE someone else will! Good luck!!
