Can eggplant and zucchini cross pollinate?

Question:I know not to put squashes, melons, and cucumbers near one another, but does anyone know or had experience with eggplant and zucchini close together.
Thank you.
Peace.

Answers:
No they can't cross pollinate- they are totally different species and members of different genera too. i wouldn't even worry about putting squashes, melons and cucumbers together either: they are also unlikely to cross pollinate.

Of course, havent you ever heard of spiderman?
i really don't know about those 2 but you are right about the melons & cukes-- my sister in law grew a cupunker one year--that's when we all learned not to plant those so close to each other
