I need to know what kinda of tree i have in my yard.?
Question:The tree is really tall and in the spring it has flowers in the spring and in the fall it has like long pea pod things. It has very large leaves on them they are in a tear drop. Thanks so much!!

I asked my wife that exact same question on Saturday. We are in Indiana too. It is the Catalpa tree:

thats definately a chicken tree or maybe does it crow in the morning cause it might be a rooster tree, you dont wanna know what you have to go through to check the sex of a tree

Take part of a limb or some leaves to a reputable garden nursery and ask them.
I believe it is the Catalpa tree. Look that up.

Sounds like a redbud to me, except for the very tall part. Redbuds typically only grow to about 30' tall. But the heart shaped leaves and lang seed pods sound right.
