How many farmers and wokers would it take to do a 40 acre spread?

Question:say veg's or tobacco.

Answers:
It depends, but historically, that'd be about the right size for one family to farm. This is before machinery, though. So if you're going to spend full time hours on it, I think you and one other person could do it. I guess it totally depends what you're growing, though. I am from the midwest, know nothing about tobacco. If you use modern machinery to farm, 40 acres is nothing. Maybe 1/2 day of work every so often.

As many as it takes.
