Please explain how to uninstall a Toro 700 Sprinkler head. It is cracked on one side and does not pull up.?
Question:There are arrows to twist it one way to remove but it sticks. Should I pry it open with a screw driver? I am not finding Toro 700 replacement parts but I assume any single stream Toro product will do. How do I make it stay fixed in a certain direction? Right now it waters my neighbors yard, thanks!

I don't think they make the 700 anymore. It was good in its day, but not anymore. Go to Lowes and buy the rotating Rainbird head. I think it is a 42SA. They are pretty good heads. Dig up the 700, unscrew it and screw the new head on. The 42SA is 1" taller, but this shouldn't be a problem at all. Do not get an Orbit head from Home Depot, they are garbage, and Toro is just as bad now, the quality of Toro has dropped drastically over the years.
It depends on how urgent you are to have it out. I would think a heavy hammer and an axe would work ... but I'm not very good with power tools.
