What to do to maintain a tomato plant?

Question:Is there any snipping to do to a tomato plant to help get tomatoes to produce better? I was told you have to snip them. Does anybody know?

Answers:
You remove the suckers like the lower leaves and stem part be careful not to break the main vine...They feed through the leaves but if you look closely you will see different leaves.

i don't think snipping helps cause if u snip the tree, it will use up nutrients to grow new shoots. i think putting fruiting inducer will help besides making sure your soil is really soft..
when the tree starts to bear fruits, you will need to wrap those tomatoes or else birds will start to feed on them once they are ripe.
What you do is cut off every single leaf and stem that is not growing buds or fruits, practically peeling the stem bare except for portions growing tomatoes.
Cut any suckers off the main stem. Then you will get bigger and better tomatoes.
