If I backwash my pool into my yard will it kill my grass?

If your pool has normal chlorine - no problem. Pools have about the same amount of chlorine as drinking water. It will make you yard full of water. Maybe muddy? I did my pool for several years that way, the only problem was wet feet from walking in the water to turn it off.
If the pool has a lot of chlorine for sure. There are some other chemicals to kill algae also.
I would run a hose to the street or sewer.
That is what I do.

use a water pump, run a long hose so it does not get on the grass, out to a sewer or sidewalk. Or It will burn your grass.
