Weedkiller?

Question:what is the best weedkiller....wanna kill everything in garden and start from scratch, tried sodium cloride twice but still comes back after a few weeks...need some serious stuff like agent orange that they used in vietnam

Answers:
How long do you want it dead? No matter what you use eventually it will come back. By your question it sounds like you want it dead more than 2 weeks.

Roundup Brush Killer lasts about a month.
Roundup Extended lasts 3 months
Ortho Season Long lasts all summer

Some of the longer lasting weed controls can interfere with new plants or seeds so make sure to follow the instructions.

Please don't kill me off :(
GRAMAXONE this will burn leaves, stems and even penetrate roots.
If its in garden beds where there is desireable vegetation as well, use Roundup (or a glyphosate alternative) wich will kill the weeds but not prevent them from coming back. Use a pre-emergent like Preen (treflan) to keep new seeds from sprouting after you lay down a nice inch or 2 of mulch.

If it is an area with nothing in it, (trees, shrubs, etc) you can use a soil sterilizer like Ortho Groundclear. Its nasty stuff and will prevent new growth all season. I personally would not want this in my soil because it practically creates a superfund site.

Organic alternatives woul be Natures Avenger weed killer and corn gluten meal as a preventer. Cheers!
Weeds will always 'come back' in a few weeks. 'Com back' is a mis nomer. Actually new weeds are growing. Even the NEW weed killer from Roundup that is SUPPOSE to kill everything for 4 months - NOT! I have new weeds after only 3 weeks. So much for that! You can kill the weeds but the seeds to start new weeds are everywhere, espically in the wind. That is why they are called weeds.

You can use grass and weed killer but I have found that it kills everything then in 2 weeks you got a different set of weeds to kill again. Same ole.

After planting the garden, weed it after it is established then use abbout a half inch of grass cuttings as multch over the exposed ground. This layer will cut down on weeds by 80-90% and then can be tilled into the ground before winter.

Actually the mix I found that works the best is lettting my grass grow long then mixing in some dry straw and mow it into mulch. The ratio is about 75% straw to 25% green grass. Works great as multch.
try a strong mix off round up,,/
