Question:This is my first year growing, corn, tomatoes, zuchini, bell peppers, chilis, onions, garlic, strawberries and blue berries when they are done giving do they die or do they keep growing or do I need to cut them down pull them out? Southern CA Thanks all the help is appreciated!

Answers:
your strawberries and blueberries will produce every year

grow everything else as an annual

not too sure as of garlic,
it needs a cold start

but anyway grow your other veggies as annuals "replant every year"

No when they are done they are done, however if the seeds fall they may come back next year. I had tomatoes do that.
Strawberries & Blue berries will come up every year.
strawberries and blue berries will come up every year. onions and garlic might.
Most you will have to reseed but some will drop seed just be thank full you got a result !!
I can tell you what my father always did. We had a 1/4 acre garden every year and after we picked everything and the plants started dying, he'd plow under the plants. He always told me that this would fertilize the ground for the next planting season. One trick, next year don't plant the same thing in same place. Different plants take different things from soil so always rotate plants. Hope this helps you and your garden.
