Beetroot and carrots drooping?

Question:i am growing beetroot and carrots and had to seperate them but the leaves are now drooping will they still grow even though the leaves are drooping or will they stop growing completly?

Answers:
Both have tap roots, when you thinned them you will have disturbed adjacent plants. They should recover but if you are worried give them a few cans of water.

Are they properly rooted? Have you watered them enough?
Water them a bit, tamp down the soil lightly if it was disturbed much and wait it out. They will probably perk up. Keep the watering even and regular until they bounce back.
give them viagra see if that works (haha)
they sound like they have transplant shock. make sure they are watered well, and they may do ok. they can take upto 3 days to readjust after. but beets are quite tough they should be ok
Beetroots normally survive a transplanting, but carrots do not. The tiny root hairs are disturbed and this deforms the root so that it cannot grow anymore. They most likely have too much leaf for the roots to cope with.
