When is the best time to plant vegetables??


Question:i want to plant a veggie garden with peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. when is the best time of the year to do this?? also, i've never planted a garden before, so if you have any advice or good websites to go to that would be GREAT!

I agree that now is ok but as one suggested June is the perfect month IF you have a green thumb LOL

Best time? Earlyyy In the morning depending on your location.

Veg gardens tend to do very well when fed/watered (at the base) in the morning before the hot sun as well.

I had great luck when I put diced garlic cloves at the root when I planted (so bugs don't destroy them) And any form of (powder) red pepper at the base of the plant to keep the insects away.

I'd also HIGHLY suggest you plant herbs like basil (scented) in between your tomatoes n such to help with the insect population.

Advice I love HGTV gardner's. Try and find them on your cable tv they are the best!


I know this to be absolute truth. Ask any farmer. Plant your garden after the full moon at the end of June. This is fact.
