well add a little fertillizer, and water well !

IT'S NOT SAFE TO USE LAXATIVES TO LOSE WEIGHT. PERIOD.
I'm a 33 year old mom of three young kids. I'd never tell anybody to take laxatives to lose weight and it can be very dangerous. It can also be very addictive and you could end up in the hospital. Please don't do it.
First, you should ask your doctor, second... why the heck is this categorized in garden and landscape!
You should NEVER take laxitives for weight control. Not only do you lose weight, but you also lose nutrients, weaken your immune system, and invite many forms of disease. If you can't control your food intake, then any other form of weight control is only a bandaid solution and will always come at a price.
There is no set amount of time that you can use them to lose weight. Instead of laxatives might I suggest that you seek out a detox product. They are safer and clean you out better if I may add. Using a laxative can mess your bowels up and in worse case scenarios you can lose them at any time, meaning you will not be able to hold your bowel movement and it will let loose whenever it reaches that point. If you get my drift.
Laxatives shouldn't be used for this purpose. Using it more than one or two days in a row isn't going to take anything more out of you. It is so much worse than just eating healthy and exercising. You can go jogging this evening, then come back and eat some steamed veggies with brown rice and a fat free sauce. The next morning, eat oatmeal with berries, without sugar or butter, but do 100 crunches first. Eat healthy all day, and go lap swimming in the afternoon. Keep going.
First of all, let me say that what you are talking about is dangerous and could kill you or cause harm far worse than being fat. It would be highly advised to read all of the laxative manufacturers information from a Physicians Desk Reference regarding all of the available medication which you desire taking. You should also monitor your fluid intake and output as well as food intake and frequency of bowel activity. In addition to this you should monitor your vital signs for changes in body temperature and blood pressure. The only real way to lose weight and keep it off is not a diet but rather a proper diet, regular cardiac exercise, and drink water. The pot calling the kettle black says that it has never been necessary to substitute soft drinks, alcohol, or milk shakes for good old fashioned water. Your body was not really designed to include the types of foods found in the marketplace today. Just a bit of advice, find a healthy way of losing weight and quit looking for a quick fix.
