Best all year long outdoor potted blooms?

Question:I am looking to buy blooming flowers but dont know which survive longer all year. Can anyone help, and are perrennials the ones I am thinking about?

Answers:
Hmm.. let's see.. perennials are plants that come up in the same location, year after year. They typically die back in the fall. Generally, perennials do not stay in bloom all season long either.

There are many annuals that do stay in bloom all season, like vincas and petunias, however they die (and don't return) at the first frost.

So I'm not sure I answered your question exactly.. the only plants I'm aware of that might bloom all year would be tropical.. and they are not generally suited to outdoor living..

so where does that leave us?? silk flowers? they will bloom all year long.

I don't know if I did, but I hope I helped.
