Aloe gel yellow and stinky-bad?

Question:My aloe plant, which I had for about two weeks or so, is rather strange. When I cut one of the leaves off to treat my sunburn, the gel was yellow and the stuff stunk to high heaven! This question is three-part:
1. What's up?!
2. Is it still good?
3. How do I fix/treat/prevent it?

Answers:
Be careful ... the yellow part is not the part you want to use and it will stain everything that it drops on! The gel that you want to use is clear. You may find both the yellow and the clear in the same leaf. Try to make a small slice in the leaf - lengthwise. That should give you the clear gel that you want.

It sounds like over-water and/or indoors without proper sunlight... nearly rotted

Water it less.. give it more sun
1. what's up is your giving it too much water which the gel in the leaf causes it to change color 2. just don't overwater it 3. you can prevent it by not overwatering it. water it one time per three weeks.
