What is the best source for info on starting an orchard.?

Question:I have googled all the information about orcharding and wasnt happy with what I found. Any great books on all aspects of orcharding? I need to know how to plant...when to spray...what side of the hill to grow on.how much fertilizer...all of the details!

Answers:
Your local County Extension Service. They are great, paid for by your tax dollars, most info is free, or cost of copies & mail. REALLY helpful as they are intune to where you live.
Try them on line as well as a vist in person.
Lots of luck with your new venture.
