Brown, yellow, hairy caterpillars emerging from what looked like a spiders web between 2 twigs of hawthorn?

Question:spiders web, suspended between 2 hawthawn twigs. Can anyone tell me what this is, as I live in the country and have not seen anything like it.

Answers:
sounds to me like tent worms. Kill them if you want your trees to live they can kill a tree out pretty fast once you see the caterpillars. Don't worry about kill beautiful butterflies there turn into moths. I suggest using Sevin it comes in a spray or powder but should do the trick most major Wal-Mart type stores should carry it

i think its a woolly bear Caterpillar
they should start to hibernate in a cocoon soon... and be beautiful butterflies!
I don't know if it is possible to determine without seeing it. But check out this site that I use frequently.
