Cauliflower?

Question:Okay...so. I have my very own garden and its the first year I've planted cauliflower. I got the "self bleachin cauliflower" does that mean that I still need to try up the leaves?

Answers:
hi...I have the same variety in my garden this year...I still tie them up, helps save on space in my garden.mine are huge! well over 2 ft tall. I would recommend one thing though.place covered containers that have holes cut into the top filled 1/3 of the way with beer and bury into the soil so it is level with the ground. this is a organic slug trap...it seems slugs love cauliflower and all the moisture they hold. found this out the hard way when I went to pick my cauliflower a few days ago.a beautiful cauliflower the size of a dinner plate was ruined and I had to toss it cuz it was infested with those slimy buggars...yuck! must be the year of the slugs...I never had this problem before...you might want to check your garden to so it doesn't happen to you...happy gardening!

you should not have to, but i would anyway...just as a precaution.
They will usally cover themselves pretty well. Just tie up those that don't.
