How mad to you get when your neighbors don't mow their yard and why?
Question:I haven't mowed ours in a while and it is getting high. Everytime I've have an opportunity to mow mine, it's rained all day (making it worse). I'd do it today, but it's 95 degrees out there and I wouldn't make it. Oh, well, I'll do it tomorrow. Now, back to my question above.
Answers:
If it's been raining heavily (it's rained every day for almost a month here in Oklahoma) your neighbors will understand. If you see your neighbors in their yard, just say, "I haven't been able to mow because the ground's so saturated--I'll mow when it stops raining long enough!" That's what I did. Of course, I was planning to mow this morning and now it's pouring rain.
not very. cus its there yard not mine
kisses
The less they mow, the less I have to, so it's good for me. As long as their yard looks worse than mine, I'm happy!
My neighbor hasn't mowed his lawn in 5 years. It only bugs me when I drive by his house and wonder why he is so lazy! I feel sorry for the neighbors who have their houses for sale because I think the way his yard looks is inhibiting sales and is probably the reason they had to reduce their prices.
i am in the UK and share a lawn out at the front with neighbours we hate anyway thats another story but they have lived there for 1 year now and have never mowed the lawn once its left to us to mow it
I'm not too fussy about neighbors mowing the lawn, but when the grass gets a foot tall I think it makes my house look bad being next to it.
I'd tell my neighbor to mow it if it was a foot or taller, and if I had to tell them I'd be a little mad.
If they still didn't mow it I'd be mad enough to call the town and have them send a notice.
well if you don't mind people thinking you are lazy or trashy then just don't mow it. I personally rent because i don't for-see myself EVER mowing my lawn. lol, cause i am Lazy. ha ha
Well, I get soooooooooooooo mad because lawns, well, they have tender feelings and need special attention. I mean, think about if you were a lawn. How would you feel if no one groomed you? Would you feel good? NO! You'd feel worthless, deprived, and ugly. No lawn deserves to feel this way!
I own a large acreage so I can't see my neighbors from my yard, but I do have to drive past them. I take really good care of my yard, landscaping, flowers, the whole bit. They don't. They barely mow... it's disgusting, so yeah I do get fairly mad. It's embarrasing to me to have my guests drive by that mess.
Doesn't bother me, it might if I had my house on the marke which my neighbor does so I feel like I have to keep my yard very tidy right now. I also try to make sure it looks presentable if a neighbor is hosting a graduation party or something like that. I'm the same way as you, I work all day so if I mow the lawn it's gonna be at 9pm, hope the noise doesn't bother them.
Well it annoys me because no matter what I do to make my yard look better. It will look crappy when you drive by because of the neighbor not cutting his grass. And another thing I live outside of city limits so I have to deal with snakes, spiders, and field rats when the neighbor doesn't cut regularly. My son killed a snake with the lawnmower this morning
I DONT GET MAD WHEN THEY DONT MOW THEIR YARD BUT I DO GET ANNOYED IF THEY DO NOT MOW THEIR GRASS LAWN!!!!
I can see how this would affect you if you were trying to keep your yard nice and tidy and it was completely overlooked by passerbys that only pay attention to the messiness of your neighbor's. Have you tried asking them to upkeep theirs better?
haha i don't really care=D

we have our house up for sale and when people come to view it and look at the neigbors yards and see they are not taken care of, it makes for a bad viewing, and lessens the chance of a sale.
It has never bothered me.
doesn't really matter to me
My parent's lawn is more weeds than grass. We live in a city that has a law that states that our lawns can't be any higher than two inches. We and our neighbours are law-obeying to that point but it's the watering restrictions that they are not so much. From June to September we can only water our lawns on the days that match our house, for example, my house is 49 so we can only water on odd number days 1,3,5,7,9,13, etc. The only problem is that our neighbours on our left are the number 53 since in the 1970's there used to be a house in-between that was torn down before my parents moved in. So we are both watering the same day and that makes others believe that one of us is not following the rules and so it's ok for them at number 58 to water on the 3rd. Seeing four people at houses side-by-side watering at the same time, that is what makes me, well, not angry, but disappointed... for a lack of a better word.
It bothers me, you own a nice house, you pay alot for a house, dont make it look like ****.Plus i take care of my yard, so with the neighbor nnot taking care of their lawn just makes my yard look that much better. But with you not taking care of your yard just makes you look like trash
I don't care if its overgrown. What I hate is when they do it early in the morning waking me up...
