Holy sh-- did I just kill the lawn I worked so hard on?
Question:I dilligently filled in the dry spots on my lawn with soil and then new seed. then I watered well. After that I applied fertilizer and weed killer (scotts) that was in a white pellet form that burned the cut i had on my finger. As I was a little worried I decided to read the bag which stated clearly, use only on well established turf and not to overapply.
I'm freaked. Please help!

If you've got good drainage then dump lots of water on it. That'll help dilute the chemicals. Then give it time.At least a few weeks. Spot seed the bad sections. If the dead grass is excessive then I'd suggest you thatch then aerate the lawn before seeding.Go easy on the chemicals.
Water it well - over and over, it should help dilute the strength of the fertilizer and hopefully not do too much damage. At worst you may loose the seeded grass, any established turf should bounce back - albeit after a bit of browning off
You did ALL of that in one go , and read the instructions AFTER you had finished ? Grow the grass first, ignore the weedkiller or fertilizer until grass is really well grown for 6 MONTHS.
