I'm a girl trying to do a man's job... help!?

Question:I cannot turn off the sprinklers in the front! I did 2 times before, but this 3rd set of sprinklers (all the water supplied by the SAME fountain) but it will not turn whatsoever. The other times it did, but now it suddenly won't.

I tried the latch- it worked- until I realized it shut off the WHOLE ENTIRE HOUSE'S water.

Please help! My dad is gone for a week.

Answers:
Do you have a neighbor who might be able to help you? It's going to be hard for anyone here to give you advice without seeing what you're talking about.

Get calm...take a few deep breaths and tell yourself that you WILL get this taken care of. You'll laugh about it when all is said and done. You can do it!

Follow the hose back to the faucet and if it looks like a wheel or a handle, turn it clockwise till you can't turn it with your hand. The water may run for a little bit as the pressure in the hose goes away.
Father's gone for a week? That's a hellova water bill! I'll tell you what - I'll be right over.. Ok seriously now. First things first: DO NOT calm down. Then after you do that, go to a neighbor, preferably a guy neighbor who at least sometimes can be found playing with his lawn, and ask him. There are too many possibilities, so that's what I would do if I were a scared little girl trying to do a man's job. You can always call your father, but then the next time he leaves, you'll be staying by Aunt Bertha. I hope you figure this out and wish you the best of luck. Don't throw TOO wild of a party, either. He WILL figure it out. Good luck!
