Your only option is to prune them or move them farther away. Staking won't work don't try it. A properly planted tree shouldn't need to be staked.
I heard this somewhere, I think. It could have also been a dream. Get a sheet of copper, and slide it in between the foundation, and the roots. I hope this wasn't a dream, I'd really feel like a fool! Bye
The only way I know of is to dig them up and transplant them further out.
I suppose you could put some posts in and run some hardware cloth or netting between them, but that's only a temporary fix. Eventually the branches will find their way through and head out again.
I figured that you could handle it the same way as with young trees that have been blown crooked. Put stakes in the ground and pull the shrubs away from the house with soft ropes. Gradually, they will ease away from the house. Treat them like bonsi, train them.
Bushes growing against the house can damage wood and paint; they can cause bricks to deterioriate; they can trap moisture against your foundation.
A well-meaning former owner planted bushes right up against one outside wall of my house and it cost me over $1000 to repair the damage. I really wanted to keep the bushes, but in the end I dug them up and redid the bed. My guideline: You should be able to walk between bushes and your house. If your bushes are up against your foundation, I encourage you to remove the bushes.
