Here are some links to pages explaining the making of soil for bonsai.

They all give some different information. Soil composition is a highly debated subject for bonsai enthusiasts, and eventually you will make a mixture that suits your purpose.
Personally, I use 1 part peat moss, 1 part potting soil, 1 part finely screened perlite, 1 part fine sand, and 1 part vermiculite. Now, that is the soil only. It is not the layering. For more information, read through the links provided.
Good luck with your bonsai.
Bonsai soil is primarily a loose, fast draining mix of components--with a base of course sand or gravel, fired clay pellets or expanded shale combined with an organic component such as peat or bark.
