What cut flowers last the longest, are the hardest?

Question:

Answers:
Carnations, in my experience, live the longest as cut flowers. I had a single carnation once for 2.5months. My husband recently gave me a bouquet of carnations and they are currently two weeks old and they look great. Every week I change the water and add a freshness packet as well as prune the ends with a fresh cut. I've had plenty of cut flowers and none have lasted longer than carnations.

gerber daisies or cala lilies (all varieties).
Roses - as long as you cut the stems at an angle and add some sugar (or flower food) in clean water each day.
Any flowers can last long if you know how to preserve them after you cut them. Put them in fresh water and put in an aspirin. (small secret) lol.
I think carnations are. As individuals die off, remove and the hardiest should last weeks.
I've had good success with mums as long as you keep changing the water and make sure there are no leaves or small branches below the water line.
Shasta daisies, Zinnias, Carnations and Roses have always seemed to last a long time for me. If you keep them out of the sun and change the water every day that will also help to prolong the vase life. Shasta's will smell like dirty socks for a day or two though.
I have had fantastic luck with black eyed susans and zinnias. I have a full sun garden. These two seem to thrive with very little care. The zinnias bloom all summer until frost and the susan's from July until frost. Good luck!
