When letting your lawn reseed itself, do you have to let the seeds dry and fall off themselves or can you mow?

Question:

Answers:
No problem w/ mowing. Just don't bag your clippings.

As long as the grass isn't too long when you cut it, there shouldn't be any problems.

You will get more seeds if you mow very high but your lawn could suffer (be prone to disease because of poor air circulation or an attraction for insect pests) or just get ugly. The shorter plants will naturally produce seed so I'd keep mowing. If it really needs some spots reseeded why not just go to a L&G Center and get some seed. A pound will overseed approxamately 400 sq ft (a 20ft X 20ft area.
