Answers:
They all have flowers and an advanced vascular system. You need a book on plant care. Seed plants are the most advanced plants on earth and each species has it's own special needs. Characteristics of seed plants won't really help you because the group is too big and has too many variations in care.

All plants that grow from seeds, And that is practically every plant will germinate. If they don't its a combination of ground temperature, air temperature, moisture, type of soil, type of plant. Not everything can grow everywhere. If they could pineapples would be grown in Alaska. It all depends on a lot of things. Keep trying though. You prob will amaze yourself.
