I have never heard of such a thing. The only grounds I can imagine for making such a meaning, is that male and female flowers are born on seperate plants, which leads to many different males pollinating one female if there is more than one male plant. Other than that, I have no idea.

I have heard of this referred to in England. Not, however, in America, where I live. Unless most of the people in my town are into wife-swapping. Myself, my pampas grass is in my backyard. Wonder what that means?
