I am growing tomatos in pots and i notice the pots get very hot, is this okay?

do what you can to shield the pots from heating up from sunlight. even tho tomatoes do like the heat, the roots, which are meant to be underground, and therefore cooler than the leaves and fruit, should not be 'cooked'. they may become unable to do what they need to be doing. this guy's problem is a case in point...

sure it is...tomatos love heat.just make sure the pot has good drainage
