I want to grow a miniature orange tree.?

Question:I've heard they only grow as large as the container will allow. Is this true? AND what kind of potting soli do I use? I have seen such a tree once and it was so pretty. Even had tiny little oranges on it. It was only about 18 inches tall.

Answers:
It depends on where you live- what zone you are in - as to whether the orange tree can be left outside only in the summer or year round. Use a good soiless potting soil if putting in a container; not garden soil as it doesn't provide good drainage. Make sure you are purchasing a miniature tree that can survive in a container.

I bought a minuture lemon but I made the mistake of not putting in a large enough pot its is two years old now and i got one lemon last year but nothing this year but it has grown twice its size in height and double in width i just put in a bigger pot so will see if this helps. if i had to do over i would have gone with something larger than 4 gallon pot
