What are some flowers that flourish in the sun?

Question:I need the names of some flowers that grow well this time of year and under full sun. Thanks.

Answers:
Roses, petunias, sunflowers, carnations, dahlias, zinneas, and pansies.

There are lots more, check at your local garden center!

In annuals, alyssum, petunias, geraniums, vinca, portaluca, vinca, there are many others, but these have worked for me.
If you get anything that is a succulent, it will do well. These are things in the cactus family. Others are vinca, petunias, moss roses, portacula, roses, canna lilies, verbena, and marigolds. It also depends on how hot and dry it is where you live. Some things will grow well in milder climates in full sun than in harsher hot ones.
I have had great luck with stargazer lillies. The most beautiful pinkish-red color and they can get up to 4 feet tall!
my favoirtes are salvia and vinca. I plant red salvia and surround it with white vinca and it blooms beautifully and abundantly all summer and until frost.

both take the heat from summer sun well.
Painted Daisy, coreopsis, black eyed susans, coneflower, spiderwart, lilies, phlox, bee balm, the list goes on and on. check out HGTV and better homes and gardens website.
sunflowers, roses
