What kind of fertilization does the plant "purslane" like? Osmacote or Miracle-Gro or not much of either?

Question:cool the way flower opens with sunlight and closes when cloudy

Answers:
Purslane is such a tough plant i think it would be fine with no fertilizer. If you do want to fertilize, though, i would use osmocote because miracle gro has a tendency to burn the plant.

doesn't matter just don't add it during the heat of the day!
I'd err on the side of caution with any fertilizer. Purselane is a succulent requiring just a well-lit sunny position with well-drained potting mix - using fertilizer will give lush growth, retarding the flowering.
If your plant gets a bit leggy or straggles, pinch it back by a third and repot the pinched-off bits
I'm in Australia and the common name here is sun-jewels, or more common. pigface and it is treated as an annual, propagating by tip ends.
and yeah.. it's a cool "doesn't-ask-for-much" hardy little number that just keeps on flowering!
I thought Purslane was a weed. It grows like crazy in my garden and I can't seem to get rid of it. It doesn't get any fertilization from me except that my garden does have pretty good soil. I only fertilize and water where my vegetables are growing.
