a gas edger would work faster, thats really all I can think of that would make a smalll fast trench.
invisible tools?
It's called get your own place, and quit living at your mothers house at the age of 40.
I'd try a karate chop saw
why do it, because it is invisible.
Just get a professional to do it. You could pay them with invisible money.
edging shovel would work. maybe some sort of plow? you could also hire somebody to come out and do it for you if you dont want to. Its alot like laying down a sprinkler system, but you dont have to go that deep.
One word of advice - dont get lazy and leave any of it exposed, or so shallow that its able to become exposed. If its exposed, its very easy to trip over, get gnawed on, or more likely - a lawnmower/weed whacker cuts the line in two. The fence alarm will go off, and you will have to walk all the way around the perimeter carefully looking for a cut piece, which is often very hard to see.
Just keep at it!
Im not like other people. I wont say somethin stupid or anything like that. I like to help the best way I can. If there really is no invisible fence then invisible tools would probably work the best LoL. But if there really is an invisible fence that you are putting up like a alarmed kind of thing for around your house that nobody can see then maybe it came with some instructions in the box that tell you what tools to use. Thats usually the case.
Go rent a DITCH WITCH
You could use a trencher. Here's a link, if you don't know what it is.

Try calling around and see if you can rent or borrow one. Your town/city might have a store that rents garden equipment. To buy, Medium-sized garden trenchers can go for as low as $100, a little steep for a one time use. You may be able to find a store that sells the mini trenchers, but I don't know how well they work, since I've never used the small ones. Unfortunately, the way you're doing it now is probably the cheapest way.
a large imaginary pair of pliers.
The directions call for a Skil saw equipped with a masonry blade. For all of those people who think you're joking, an invisible fence is a radio fence for keeping your dog in your yard without having to build a traditional fence. There should be more information on the PetSafe web site.
