The leaves on my basil is turning a yellow-ish gold color. What is it from and is it good or bad?

Question:

Answers:
You don't mention what type of basil it is. Basil comes in more than one color .. Lemon basil has a yellowish color and a bit of a lemony flavor. Otherwise you might cut back on watering and get it into the heat and/or sun. Basil loves the heat. Don't let it get below 50F. Water good once a week or leave it to the weather.

The best rule of thumb with MOST plants is...
if it's yellow, let it mellow
If it's brown, wet it down.
Here are some possible causes for the yellowing of leaves in Basil:
low lighting,
nutritional imbalance (lack of iron)
incorrect PH balance which deters the plant from taking up iron etc.
and unfortunately a
disease such as "Fusarium wilt"
