When will the cicadas in the Midwest be gone?

Question:Seriously I am so scared. They fly in my ears and into my bag. When will they be gone and what is the best way to keep them away from you when outside? Also does that OFF spray work for cicadas? Thanks.

Answers:
don't be afraid of them ! they are an amazing insect ! We had ours in 2004, they were all gone by the end of June, I assume you are talking about periodical cicadas which come out every 13 or 17 years !

Sorry, but OFF will not work.
They are kamikazi and just crash into you,
they don't hover enough to get repulsed by
repellents.
dude i understand how you feel!... i am not disgusted by them.. but the scare the crap outta me when the crash into my face... i live in Illinois... i think they are starting to die off. because i am starting to see more dead ones.. so they have laid their eggs... good luck!
