I have St augustine grass and I live in NE Florida. my sprinkler?

Question:system just went out and I am leaving town for 12 days. will I be ok if it does not rain and the temps are in the mid 80's.. Will I come back to a dead yard

Answers:
You are going to be in trouble if you do not get any rain for 12 days. A week would probably be ok. It would dry up, but would not die. I would not think that the grass would not be dead, but it would not look good at all and may take a while to recover.

One good thing is that it would not grow much while you were away without any water.

I would get those sprinklers fixed before leaving town. It only takes a few hours to get fixed. With the drought we been having I would not chance it. If you live in Palm Coast the city will fine ya for not having live grass
If you have used proper watering techniques you should have a deep enough root system for the grass to survive 12 days. It may look pretty sad when you return, but a good soaking should perk up your lawn. Ideally you should be watering deeply, and no oftener than every 4 or 5 days.
Try to soak the lawn before you leave town with a hose, if possible (don't know how big your yard is), but St. Augustine grass is drought resistant, that's why we use it so often in Florida. You should be fine, though, it hasn't been hot enough to burn it. I live in Miami and we had a drought for a few months. I don't have a sprinkler system, and my grass never even turned brown. Have a nice trip, your grass will be fine.
