I have a palm tree I dug up, and I want to keep it alive.?

Question:I dug this cabbage palm up, it's got about a foot wide heart, and I only had a root cluster that was about 20cm in diameter on one side of the heart when I was done. I cut down the dead growth on the leaves, but am still concerned that it may die. Any palm experts out there willing to help me save my precious lil tree?

Answers:
I've saved many a doomed palm. But I've done nothing special to them. Transplanted into a pot with a mix of potting soil. perlite and sand. Gave them Quick Start for transplant shock, water ,and thats all . Bye
