Answers:
During the day you will find June bugs buried under the lawn grass cover. They destroy the lawn.
Well june bugs are what they call singropodic bugs. That meens they have a cell in them that wakes up only in the night. The cells are on the outer skin of the bug so they know when it is night because they can sense light. JUne bigs are not atracted to the sun. Sorry your wrong. BUt they are singropodic bugs. your welcome, now you know!
Probably the same reason we don't see too many other bugs-it may be too hot. Or LOL, they are waiting to come out at night and "bug" us when the lights are on.
If you have a fig tree nearby, alot of times they are on the bottom side of the leaves. My brother and I used to pick them off and tie a string to them and let them fly around and we would hold them kinda like a dog on a leash. I have never had a problem finding them during the day however.
We don't see June bugs during the day because they come out to feed in the evening and at night. For some additional information try: http://www.answers.com/topic/june-beetle...
