Grass, unless you are trying to line your balcony or a small area. Astro Turf comes with a warranty and doesn't die and always looks nice. It depends on what you want to use it for.

Grass, always. It is much nicer to fall on, and is much cushier for sitting. :)
Definitelly Grass - but if you don't like the thought of mowing but you want to 'keep it real' - try a chamomile lawn - best of both worlds!
