Best time to water the lawn?
Question:
Answers:
The best time to water a lawn is in the morning.
If you water during the middle of the day most of the water will evaporate.
If you water during the evening, the lawn will not dry out and the cool night temps will lead to fungus that will kill the grass (damp, cool temps are bad for most things).
Before sunrise or after sunset.
Early morning or in the evening
The best time to water the lawn is actually at night or dawn.Hope that helps.
in the morning and in the evening there is dew. the grass will be watered a little then, so the best time is around 11, or 12, (noon) just before or just as the sun starts to warm up
in the morning at sun up or in the evening after 6. don't water during the day, it will actually damage and possibly kill the grass as the water will have the same affect as a magnifing glass.
the answer previously is well accepted, but it is better early morning to give the sun time to dry the lawn and therefore not to have fungus in your lawn. Evening watering will leave the lawn damp and...
In the evening as it gives the grass all night to soak up all the moisture it needs to get through the day. If you water during the day most of that water will evaporate
While most say morning... I have found evening works best, after the sun is off the lawn, give it a good soaking. Then during the night hours, the lawn can take in the moisture without the morning sun evaporating it all away. You will get better use of the water that way.

In the morning or evening. Never water in the middle of the day while the sun is out.
