Which birds will eat my strawberries?

Question:My garden strawberries are loaded with immature berries but I am afraid the birds will eat them. Do I need to cover them? I live in the desert and the biggest birds here are things like black capped chickadees that normally eat sunflower seeds.

Answers:
Yes, you need to cover them with a netting especially designed for this. You can purchase one at most home & garden centers.
