Can I put anything at the base (Or on) an olive tree to promote growth.?

Question:I wanna give my olive tree a kick-along. It's making good progress, but is there some supplement I can use to beef it up a bit? I have clayee soil....

Answers:
Olive trees are hardy tough plants that tolerate poor growing conditions better than most other fruiting trees. In good soils, olives tend to grow too tall and produce little fruit. They tend to fruit better under conditions of minimal nutrition. However Olives will respond well and produce more fruit with good watering and keeping weeds and grass away from the trunk.

yes there is,use bone meal, or blood meal...you can find it at your local home depot...its high in potassium and that what all plants need for new growth.its about 4 or 5 dollars, nitrogen helps to green-in up the plant which is also vital for plants..
