Bubbles on Hyacinth plants - From a total non bulb-gardner?

Question:Hello,

My husband planted some hyacinths at the beginning of spring. They have already completed the blooming stage. I think they should be cut down and just the leaves left until the leaves die. However, there are green pods growing on the hyacinths now (shaped somewhat like acorns). What are these? And even more so, should we continue to let these grow? Are they baby bulbs? We know little to nothing about bulbs.

Any info would be great. Thanks!

Answers:
Hyacinths will produce seed in favourable conditions. I believe what you are reporting to be the SEED capsules, BULBS will be produced from the parent bulb, below ground. Remove old flower stem, give a weak liquid feed, leave foliage to die back slowly.
