I don't want to mow my lawn anymore. What can I can put in that will be glass like but does not need care?

Well, if you want glass to grow then you need sand and heat. This seems much more difficult than just mowing your lawn of GRASS, not blowing a sculpture of GLASS. And if that's a type-oh the R and the L are very far away from each other on the keyboard, so I don't know what to think.
