I need suggestions for a natural spider killer to use in the house.?

Question:Something that is safe to use in the house with a 2 year old daughter and a 3 month old kitten.

Answers:
Well, glue traps are about the best thing. Put them behind appliances, under cabinets, etc... places where your kid and cat don't have easy access to. If you spot a spider scampering across the floor or ceiling, short of smooshing them, you can spray them with hairspray! It works! Where I used to work, we were infested with brown recluses, and even Terminix couldn't get rid of them. I had one in my purse one afternoon! I couldn't think of what to do, didn't want to smoosh it in my purse, and I just grabbed the closest thing, a can of hairspray, and sprayed it. It died in about 5 seconds.

Shoes.
a fly swatter
Buy a Gecko.
natural?...try a insect eating lizard.other than that I cant think of anything natural.....other than cold temperature,s. there,s a difference between natural & acceptable!
Well shoes is a great answer! I have heard of a few suggestions which may help. Two are cheap and all easily available.
The first is Boric Acid (most drug stores) spread around any openings and base of screens. The second is Ivory Soap Powder around the same perimeter. The next was to literally spray them with either an Ivory Soap Liquid Detergent spray (1tbls/qt) or HairSpray.
Hope it helps.
I'm assuming these are non toxic spiders?

The kitten should do very well at chasing them as it gets older :-)

Alternatively you could always go for removing them - I have a great garget, sort of like a mini vacuum that works on batteries... just suck the spider up through the long tube, then take it outside and away from the house, take the lid off and shake the spider/s out.
Sorry but i love spiders, leave them alone they never hurt you.
I use hairspray...I spray it on the spider real good and he stiffens up and falls to the ground and I step on them...good luck
fly swatter. Boric acid may work.
If you see the spider on the sink pour boiling water all over him.
killing house Spiders is not a good thing to do... they are the best fly and bug controller you can have,,

I would sooner have spiders than a house full of crawling and flying bugs. that bite you..
if you get any answers please would you share - we have tons of spiders and I am sick to death of them
I would take my daughter and kitten and spend a day with family or friends and set off bug bombs in my house. Raid has one that lasts for 3 or 4 months. This is what I do. We live way out in the country in an old house. It will kill all the spiders and what ever other bugs you have. Just be sure when you get home to air your house out really good and rewash all your dishes, remop floors etc.
This is what I do and by the time the 3 or 4 months is up we are getting into cold weather so that kills off some more.
All spiders hAVE THIER PLACE. Though in my home there is not much room for the both of us...I live in Florida,Black Widows,Black Widows, Black Widows, not to mention the many other arachnids...Boric acid around the base boards seems somewhat effective for a few weeks then I feel it runs stale and is a pisser to clean, especially with child safety in mind, the cat knows after one curios wiff, that's a NO FLY ZONE...Me I may use raaiidd,or in the case of tyle/hardwood, good old american bleach typically will run them out int the open, then you know to STOMP.First you must know your enemy!~!!!Then you decide what works for you.
