How much is mowing the lawn worth ?

Question:

Answers:
If you are using your own mower and gas, charge $12 per hour the first time.

It depends on how much property you are mowing. We have 2 acres and had an estimate on it last year and to mow and weedeat would have been 125.00 a week.
Ok that is a subjective question...when I was a kid I got about $5, for a lawn(of course gas was like what $.50)...I don't know of any kid today that would mow a lawn for less then $20(even if you could find a kid ambitious enough to do it)...And that's for a small lawn; and basic mowing...One of the proffessional services is going to cost you upwards of $100...But that will include clean up, edging, trimming around trees,etc...The bottom line is what is it worth to you...
It may depend on the area you live in . Ask around what other people that you may see in your area and what they get .
Sometimes teenagers will do it fairly reasonable for extra money . i myself if they trim and mow , I pay $15.00 and there're quite happy with that . I have a small yard .
if you get the same person every summer , I remember them on there 're birthdays and Christmas and just thank them for all they do and mean it of course . You do it from the heart , not just to impress some one .
After all if we're not able to do it , we should think of the ones we ask .
