make a noise like a carrot!!
I assume you're trying to bait a live trap. I've never found a bait that works. Rabbits are wary (waskaly) little critters and would rather eat some delicacy straight from your garden as opposed to a carrot in a spooky metal trap. That said, they can still be trapped. When you see a rabbit, scare him by any means, the neighbors deserve a good show so do a little war dance while whooping it up. Watch where the rabbit runs, they are creatures of habit and take the same route when frightened. Find a constriction in this "rabbit run" and set the trap in this narrowing without bait. Next, try to camouflage the sides and top with vegetation to give the rabbit what looks like a tunnel to run through. When you see him, do your song and dance for the neighbors and try to run him into the trap. If you fail you will need to reposition the trap and try again. Even if you don't catch him, he, or the neighbors may die laughing. RScott
