Is it true you get back 100% of what you put into landscaping into the value of your home?

you should see how much your house is worth before you put WAY to much into it
If you do it yourself, you could get back, may be 50%. If you get it done, you could get may be, 30%.
But if you have a million dollar home, you can not sell it unless there is proper landscaping !
No matter what you put into your home, you never get back 100%; I've bought and sold three homes now and do all my own landscaping. Landscaping is an inexpensive and simple way to improve your home's value and appearance; just drive around in various neighborhoods and compare homes with and without landscaping. It is easier and cheaper than painting, tiling, and carpeting, and gives an excellent first impression of your home to visitors and would-be buyers. My personal tips:
1. Think "big". Big plants, big plant containers, big rocks, big garden ornaments.
2. Plant in threes--flowers, shrubs, whatever.
3. If you use plant pots, use big ones that match! A collection of mis-sized, mismatched pots just looks messy.
4. Resist the urge to be "cute". You may like your collection of garden gnomes, but a homebuyer may hate them. Go for classy, simple decorations.
5. Frequently, drive up or walk up to your home from different directions and take a good critical look at it.
