Should I dead-head my miniture rose or just let the bloom fall of naturally?

Question:

Answers:
All types of roses should be dead-headed. You do not want the dead leaves and blooms around your rose bush as this causes diseases. You should remove all dead growth or dying away from the rose. It will also encourage new growth as the plant is no longer trying to feed this area taking away from the rest of the rose.

If you want more blooms, then you should dead head...as long as the flower is still onthe plant some energy is going to it. By dead-heading, you allow that energy to be diverted towards flower production.
Trim the dead bloom back to the first five leaf set and it will bloom more often and longer.
I always dead head my roses as the blooms are spent. This discourages seed production and will keep them blooming longer.
Dead-heading any rose increases blooms. Depending on variety, most roses will bloom through long periods.Takes approx 6 weeks to renew bloom,so don't dead-head all at once.If in ground, fertilise when finished for season.Use liquid fertiliser if in pots.Don't overwater, unless very dry. Good Luck!
trim off the top inch and a half once a month and by the end of the growing season it'll have so many blooms and it'll be healthier the following years. it reacts nicely to this type of pruning too!
