Why are there no ugly flowers?

Question:Some may be more appealing than others and some have different scents, but I have never seen an ugly flower.

Answers:
ugly is a descriptive term and implies favoritism. whether or not anything is ugly or pretty is purely objective, in the eyes of the beholder. I do agree with you though that there are no ugly flowers. I believe that Einstein said something like,"there are no ugly flowers and no ugly women" I guess thinking that way could get you more kisses, hey, not a bad philosophy. To answer your question, flowers are not ugly because they must have color to attract insects and birds and they almost all have some type of scent, usually sweet and pleasing to the olfactory system. This aids in their reproduction. Thats why.

Two things:
First of all the purpose of most flowers if not all is to carry the reproductive organs of the plant. It has to attract the bugs that transfer the pollen etc from another plant to fertilize it.
Second, If you were creating something called a flower would you create any that were ugly? Most flowers smell good and look good, it's just how God made them.
Cause We Belive flowers are beautiful
At first glimpse is either a person or plant repulsive? On the next look do we not see that God has granted us both? From Buddah, Christ, Zeus, etc, where is ugly.
All is grown, from flower, shrub, tree, person, to grow into it's own. The flower, the shrub, the tree, have all grown to be useful to people for medicine and herbs. It is only people that can and will grow ugly.
Today the flowers, the shrubs, the trees do not grow different than they did centuries ago. Only man grew ugly!!
The only ugly flowers I can think of are pitcher plants.

Interestingly, some of the most crazily beautiful flowers are the blooms of cacti, which are generally plain, squat little plants. I've always found that point to be a wild and wonderful twist of nature. :)
Ugly is in the eye of the beholder.
