Is it possible to have an Easter lily change color from one season to the next?
Question:
Answers:
Sure, if the acidity or p.h. of the soil changes. Have you ever seen a snowball bush? They can have blue, white, or pink flowers based on soil conditions. Also I wonder if it could be from cross pollenation.
if you put food color in it's water. can't guaranty what color you'll get.
I have heard that changing the acidity in the soil can cause a change in color for some flowers. Also, varying levels of NPK can cause this along with acidity. I think.
Sometimes flowering plants that are one color can "revert" back to the form they were hybridized from. Monarda (bee balm) is infamous for doing so.
I've never had a lily do so, but---if you're positive it's the same plant---they evidently can!
