If there is a meat smokehouse in your area you can try there. A lot of people use it to smoke their meat.

I would call barbque restaurants and smokehouses. They love that stuff. One of our local places burns it outside to get the customers' attention!
"Timber" might be too strong a word for the wood that comes from a mesquite tree :-) Most of the time, the wood is only good for burning. Sell or give it to someone who has a fireplace or woodburning stove. It's very good to use for barbequeing, so you might season it and try that. Most people I know who have mesquite on their property (mostly in Texas and Colorado) have to PAY someone to haul the stuff off.
A lot of gardening places and tree trimming places will come out and pick it up for you, but you probably won't get much out of them. You could cut it up and stack it into cords and then put up a sign by the side of the road.
Well if you go down your street to the texico station and meet a man named bill he should tell you to drive north by south west. By doing this you should come to a man by the name of cojax. He'll break your arm and set you on the trail to the local girls scouts. Buy lot's of cookies or they won't help you. The blonde in the back of the local girl scouts line up have huge **** and will show you where you can sell your timber. I hope this helps!
